According to United States’ President Donald Trump, Nigerians are people living in huts who do not want to return whenever they visit America.
He said this in the presence of some officials at a meeting in his office, the New York Times reported Saturday.
Mr. Trump has tried to effect controversial immigration policies since becoming president. On why he was restricting Haitians from coming to the U.S., he described them as people with AIDS.
On Nigerians, Mr. Trump said they would never “go back to their huts” in Africa, the Times reported, citing officials.
Some other officials however denied he said such but admitted a meeting was held.
