Igloo brings unique flavour to Mothers’ Day with special edition of YDAST Event
Festival mall, Festac was alive with excitement on Sunday, 26th March as Igloo brought its own flavour to Mothers’ Day celebration with Igloo Cookies as Igloo treated mothers and their families to a jolly good time at the special Mother’s Day edition of the Igloo “You Deserve A Special Treat” event.
The event began at 12pm with music, free product sampling and interesting facts about the Igloo brand.
True to their fun and indulgence nature, the brand organised different activities, from dancing competitions, “who can say the longest mmm” to a Biscuit eating challenge.
Mothers were pleasantly surprised when some of them were invited to the stage to do the ‘mannequin challenge’ and other activities.
The ‘rap battle’ was one of the highlights of the event as some hilarious attempts by the participants to rap with the word “biscuit” got the audience into fits of laughter.
Award winning artiste, Timi Dakolo, delivered a captivating performance for the audience that had them joining in to sing along with him.
The soul singer set a sweet scene when he invited children to the stage and gave them the floor to sing and dedicate their favourite songs to their mums.
All the participants of the various competitions walked away with fantastic prizes.
One of the winners of the dancing competition, Juliet, who said she found out about the event from Instagram and Facebook, not only expressed her excitement for the event organised by Igloo cookies but also pledged to be a faithful customer to Igloo cookies. In her own words
“I will not eat any other cookies except Igloo cookies”. Ijeoma, another winner, also expressed her excitement and gratitude for Igloo’s benevolence and wished God’s blessings on the brand.
This is the fourth “You Deserve A Special Treat” event in a series of activations Igloo has held.
Previous events have been held at the Ikeja City Mall, Silverbird Galleria in V.I and Ibadan and had positive reception from the audience.
It seems that Igloo would be making more days special for people as they plan to host another special treat event in Abuja.
