Dapchi: Lamido Reacts To Release Of Schoolgirls, Says APC Turning Nigerians To Fools
A former Governor of Jigawa State and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has reacted to the release of the abducted Dapchi secondary schoolgirls by Boko Haram.
The former governor yesterday said the circumstances surrounding the kidnap and release of the girls had turned Nigeria into a laughing stock among the comity of nations.
According to him, if the All Progressives Congress, APC, was allowed to continue in 2019, “Nigerians would be turned to fools.”
Lamido spoke with reporters in Lagos, insisting that no right thinking person would believe the kidnap saga in Dapchi.
He told reporters, “So, they (insurgents) went in convoys to kidnap the girls and nobody saw them. On their own volition, they came back with the girls with the same convoys, with fanfare and the girls came back with luggage. Yet, they (insurgents) can’t be traced. The world is laughing at us.
“The defence minister said the girls are coming back. He didn’t say they will rescue them and so they were never rescued,” he said.
