Young British woman, Hannah Bladon stabbed to death on train in Jerusalem
A 20-year old British woman, Hannah Bladon has been stabbed to death on a tram in Jerusalem. Bladon was a University of Birmingham student. She was stabbed several times in the chest while she travelled on a tram in Tzahal Square before she died in the hospital. Reacting to the sad event, Jerusalem police chief Yoram Halevy said the suspect; a 57-year-old Palestinian man who was detained at the scene was “very mentally disturbed” and was recently released from a psychiatric hospital.
Ms Bladon had been taking classes in bible studies, archaeology and Hebrew at the Rothberg International School, part of The Hebrew University.
The University of Birmingham also paid tribute to the 20-year-old saying it was “deeply saddened” to hear of Ms Bladon’s death.
