-At least two people were reportedly involved in the extraordinary heist. One is still at large. Just how did they pull it through?
A man suspected to be a notorious criminal has been arrested and charged with stealing an entire house in Ward 25, South Dagon Township.
At least two people were reportedly involved in the daring heist. Law enforcement officers are currently investigating Nyan Tun, also identified as Kalapu, who is believed to must have been the team leader behind the house theft.
Earlier reports on the case indicate that the crime could be linked to an ownership dispute.
According to the police, the stolen home had recently been bought by a man named Han Win Aung from Thanlyn, but the person who sold the house may not be its true owner.
“Aung bought the house for N393 million, even though the actual price of the house in question was N1.9 billion at the time of purchase. We are investigating the case. So far we know that Nyan Tun had at least one accomplice,” says officer Maung Maung.
Tun is facing serious charges at South Dagon Township police station and could go to jail for many years should he be found guilty of all charges.
