Ligue 1 side Guingamp sign Didier Drogba’s 17-year-old son, Isaac
Ligue 1 club Guingamp have confirmed the signing of Isaac Drogba, the son of Chelsea legend Didier.
The 17-year-old, who had been playing in Chelsea’s academy, has followed in the footsteps of his father who also moved tothe Stade de Roudourou 16 years ago.
Didier went on to score 24 goals in 50 appearances for Guingamp, and is delighted that his son — also a striker — has joined Antoine Kombouare’s side.
“Couldn’t be more proud of you Isaac Drogba,” he wrote on Instagram.
Drogba’s former teammates Frank Lampard and John Terry were among the first to reply.
“Congratulations! I remember Isaac as the small polite boy! Now a man!” Lampard said.
And ex-Chelsea captain Terry wrote: “Can’t believe how big he is mate, congratulations.”
Guingamp currently sit 10th in the Ligue 1 table
