Apple Announces Release Of 3 New Phones, iPhone 8, 8 Plus And iPhone X (Must See)
Apple has officially announced 3 new phones, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone x (pronounced iPhone 10).
iPhone 8 and 8 plus
The iPhone 8 and 8 plus looks a lot like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but with a glass back. The iPhone 8 still has a single camera while the 8 Plus has a double camera.
The iPhone 8 and 8 plus are updated versions of last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models featuring with faster processors, a True Tone display, and upgraded cameras.
It comes in silver, space grey and a new gold finish that looks like a mix between gold and rose gold. These phones are sealed to be water and dust resistant.
iPhone X
Apple also announced the iPhone X at the same conference, a new, premium model with a screen that fills the front of the device.
The iPhone X (pronounced iPhone 10) is the company’s first smartphone to feature a full-screen display, as it sets its sights on the likes of the Galaxy Note 8. There’s also an all-new ‘Super Retina’ resolution, a reinforced glass design and support for wireless charging, with the iPhone X arriving with support for the Qi charging standard.
One of the biggest changes of the iPhone 8 and 8 plus comes in the form of a glass back, in order to enable one of the biggest internal changes: inductive wireless charging, which wouldn’t have worked through the aluminum shell of the old model. And, like the iPhone 7, there’s still no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The wireless charging looks to be similar to implementations on basically every other smartphone. Simply place the phone on a charging pad, and it’ll charge up (with the added bonus for iPhone users that wirelessly charging leaves the Lighting port free for wired headphones).
The iPhone 8 is going to start at $699 for 64GB. The iPhone 8 Plus is going to cost $799 and more. Pre-orders start on September 15th. The iPhone 8 will be released on September 22nd.
