Anambra Police parade female armed robbery suspect, two others who shot dead a police officer
The Anambra State Police Command has paraded four suspected armed robbers who shot dead a police officer on duty and carted away his AK47 rifle with sixty rounds of live ammunition at Ugwunwasike roundabout, Ogidi.
Three suspects were paraded at the Anambra State Police Headquarters Amawbia, on Friday, May 5th, while body of the fourth one who lost his life during a gun battle with police was equally displayed.
Addressing the press, the State Police Commissioner , Mr. Sam Okaula who condemned the action of the hoodlums, however, was happy that they were eventually arrested.
The C.P warned criminals in the state that Anambra is a no go area, for all forms of crime and advised them to leave the state or face the consequences of their actions.
The Police Commissioner also stated that investigation is ongoing to nab other fleeing members of the gang and solicited the cooperation of the public by providing them with the necessary information that will enable them serve them better.
In an interview , one of the suspects, Miss Chinaza Onwuasoanya, aged twenty -two, admitted that she has accompanied the robber to different operations at Ugwunwasike, down flyover and Oyeagu Abagana respectively.
Other suspects including Chijioke ( Abada), Chikwado Osita, Ogbunike ( Dankowa) and Ikechukwu Ejindu, admitted to the crime.
