Anambra guber: Why Obiano will lose on Nov 18 – Obaze, Obi
Anambra governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Oseloka Obaze, his running mate, Barr. Alexandra Onyemelukwu and ex-governor, Peter Obi were in Lagos yesterday.
The campaign train visited nine markets – Electronics/ Electrical Alaba; Balogun Business Association (BBA); APT, ASPAMDA, among others.
Obaze, in separate remarks, regretted that Governor Willie Obiano has poorly represented the North Senatorial District.
He said Obiano will lose on November 18 because of “his total failure to sustain the gains recorded by his predecessor”.
He presented his manifesto, which according to him, is hinged on education as the major tool for the emancipation of the people.
Obaze assured that not “only would 26% of the budget go to education, 10% of it would go to government’s critical partners in the sector”.
He disclosed that his government would come out with a template for functional vocational education.
The candidate also vowed to use his over 20 years at the United Nations to bring back all the development partners that have since left the State.
In his speech, Obi said that though he was the one that brought Obiano out in 2013, he owed it to himself and the society to ensure the latter was replaced having displayed “gross incompetence”.
He expressed confidence that the good people of Anambra will join hands with the PDP to remove Obiano from office next weekend.
