Kidnapped Kaduna youth leader regains freedom

Malam Bashir Ahmad, a youth leader and aide to the senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani, has regain his freedom.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Command, Mukhtar Aliyu who confirmed the development said Malam Bashir is hale and hearty and has been reunited with his family.
He however did not give details on whether a ransom was paid nor disclose the location where the victim was picked up.
Malam Bashir was kidnapped on Friday in Tudun Wada area of the state by masked gunmen, according to eye witness report.
The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani had posted on his Facebook that, “I received the news of the abduction of one of my youth leaders and brother in the person of Mallam Bashir Ahmad by masked gunmen in Tudun Wada area of Kaduna south.”
Our correspondent gathered from eye witness that the masked gunmen molested Malam Bashir Ahmad before whisking him away to an unknown destination.
“Some weeks ago, Malam Bashir raised alarm and reported to the Police when he was told by neighbours that some armed mask-men came looking for him when he was not at home.
“We have alerted the relevant security agencies and will continue to put all efforts until we secure his freedom. We will put him in prayers and will one hundred percent stand by him through his travail until he returns home insha Allah,” the witnesses who pleaded anonymity said earlier.
